Terrace Rotary Club pleased with results from 65th annual auction

The Terrace Rotary Club celebrated its 65th annual auction this past weekend, which saw another year of strong community support.

The auction was streamed live via Zoom and was hosted at the Terrace Sportsplex.

According to a preliminary figure, 224 businesses contributed more than 300 items to the auction, with a combined value of more than $75,000. Local businesses also contributed to the auction, donating $3,500 in cash donations.

Across the whole weekend, the auction generated $42,749 in bids. Despite the large sum of money, the totals are slightly lower compared to last year’s event. In 2024, a total of 382 items were donated, valued at around $74,000, bringing in a total of $43,754 in bids.

Despite the dip in revenue, organizers said they were quite pleased with the auction’s turnout and community support.

Funds raised through the auction go to support Rotary community projects in the Terrace area. Final figures will be confirmed once all results are verified.
