4600 block Lakelse revitalization nearing completion

The reconstruction of the 4600 block of Lakelse Avenue in Terrace is almost done, with paving expected to begin next week.

The City of Terrace said crews have completed several major parts of the project, including utility installation, soil structure installation, and concrete curbs, gutters, and planters.

Paving is anticipated to take place the week of Oct. 12.

However, the road will remain closed even after the paving process is done, as the contractors will need to carry out several additional projects, including accent and street lighting, tree planting, mural wall, and crosswalk stamping.

The city expects the 4600 block to reopen by the end of October.

Businesses in the area will remain open despite the ongoing construction.
