LNG Canada says it’s taking new steps to reduce noise for Kitimat residents as the facility enters early operations, focusing on lowering the impact of flaring and improving communication with nearby neighbourhoods.

The District of Kitimat is expanding its Healthcare Recruitment and Retention Incentive program by adding a housing allowance, offering up to three months’ rent or a lump-sum home purchase benefit, with the first year of funding provided by LNG Canada.
