Stolen truck recovered in Kitimat

Kitimat RCMP are still on the hunt after a company truck that was reported stolen on Wednesday, Oct. 15, and found later in Kitimat.

Police were alerted to a report of a stolen white Dodge Ram with a tall canopy at around 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday. The truck had last been spotted parked on the 400 block of Enterprise Avenue when it was stolen.

During patrol in the area, an on-duty officer located the truck parked in the Kildala neighborhood. The investigators searched the area and obtained some video evidence that might be useful in identifying the suspect.

RCMP reports that this case is still ongoing. Anyone who may have noticed something unusual with a white Dodge Ram between Oct. 12 and Oct. 15 is asked to contact the Kitimat RCMP.

Residents may also provide anonymous tips to Northern BC Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips leading to an arrest may qualify for a reward of up to $2,000.
