Kitimat RCMP investigating attempted break-in on Kingfisher Avenue

Kitimat RCMP are looking into an attempted break-in after a glass door at a building on Kingfisher Avenue was damaged in the early morning hours of Monday, Sept 29.

RCMP said the incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m., when CCTV footage caught the man kicking the door after attempting to enter it. A window of the door was shattered, yet the intruder did not enter.

A property representative reported the damage later that morning, and police watched CCTV footage of the suspect fleeing the scene soon after the attempt.

The search is still ongoing, and Kitimat RCMP is asking anyone who might have seen suspicious activity going on around the 1200 block of Kingfisher Avenue during that time should call the Kitimat RCMP at 250-632-7111
