On June 7th Terrace RCMP rallied local businesses to raise funds for the Special Olympics BC through a five kilometre walk on the Xpilaxha (SPEE-la-haa) trail.
Constable Kelly Cates lead the event with opening ceremonies and says there are a few things she will be aware of for the next occasion, so many events are planned on the same day.
A crowd of special Olympic athletes, members of the local RCMP, supporting agencies, and members of the Terrace community took part in the occasion.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics movement has raised more than $5 million in BC since 1990.
